So, this story seems somewhat fine in the early chapters, but it quickly spirals out of control later on. His Junior Sister is a straight up idiot even though she is someone who is reliving her previous life. It's like she learned nothing and is focused on growing stronger even though in doing so she is standing out so much that it is putting her entire sect and senior brother in danger. The MC spends a lot of his time trying to clean up her mess which in turn creates bigger messes. You'd think someone who lived an entire lifetime would have more sense. The system is like a signin system, but it requires him to do menial tasks. It's not too bad and the MC is somewhat okay, but he has some problems too.

So what Webnovel do you recommend?

Lord of the Mysteries off the top of my head. Generally speaking cuttlefish and I Eat Tomatoes are both good authors not saying every novel they write is great but in general much higher quality. I also like record of a mortal's journey to immortality. It's a bit cliche at points but overall better than normal. System novels are somewhat harder to rec since they tend to allow a bit more laziness. I actually think in general Korean novels handle systems better but they can still get lazy or rushed towards the end. It also really depends on the type of novels you like. I find for certain genres I can put up with lower writing quality than others because I like the genre so it makes the bad parts more tolerable.

Coiling Dragon is like a classic that loads of authors seemed to rip off (and IET himself seems to reuse parts of in his stories since) so I'm not sure how it holds up years later. I like Seeking the Flying Sword Path, but I also like sword based novels in general so I might be bias on that one. For that matter, I think a lot of my love for IET comes from his world building. I will admit his characters can be flawed and his endings rushed or incomplete. I've also seen a common complaint about him be that his stories usually contain a lot of wasted potential. I can't say I disagree with that criticism, but because I enjoy the world building so much the negatives aren't as egregious as they might be from other authors. I think he has like the opposite problem that Cuttlefish has in some of his novels. Where Cuttlefish can have some slow beginnings that aren't all that interesting and mostly lay a groundwork for what ends up being an epic storyline, IET tends to start strong and finish weak. Cuttlefish also has way better characters and more originality and just diversity in his work.

Have you read to 40 chapters? He don't have to take anything like that, what he have to do is to know what ordinary truely means.

you can't call something cliche if it's one of the first for it's kind right ?
