The highlight of this story is the author's propensity for using action to keep the pacing high and sustain the reader's attention. The drawback is the grammar usage and the sometimes lazy writing where many words are used where one will do. It does the story a disservice. The story is written in present tense, and the author handles it better than many I've read, but it will be a reader's preference decision if they are comfortable reading a present-tense story. Nice use of action though.
