I think the other lady who died giving birth (Wang Lin) stole her baby because hers died prematurely She wanted to use the baby to marry the ml but she met disaster before she could return to the ml

Naw! Most likely her dysfunctional family took the baby from her after birth and sold or abandoned the baby with his family. My ? would be how did they know he was the father of the child(ren)?

The story is slow because there is a lot of dilly dally that is not necessary every chapter has no progress at all. The male lead character is just a mess, i think his picture in the story it's not needed anymore, he is not that important anyway. The writer does not know how to focus on the main story. It's boring to read this😌🥱
Which story? There are a lot of copies of novels on here, just with different names and slightly different translations. I prefer to read the original ones, if you know what the novel is called?
