Having been reading the OG novel I have visualised what a comic version would be like for so long. Visually it’s great, but the way in which the storyline has already diverged from the original is a little frustrating. Changing some item/place names makes sense, but why start adding in things like ‘electrical blades’ and the like? The novel was setting in current-ish times, and that straight-up sci-go weaponry doesn’t fit with with the time. Plus the FL is meant to be a badass, so why change the story where she calls in security to assist, etc? Overall not bad, just odd that those changes have been made which change the tone of the story and FL.
