not a bad novel but the long explanations for somethings is kinda boring and then the mixing of no magic from the mc just bothers me

they are and it's why I find some Sci fi books hard to read, I like yours cause it's got some informative stuff but the magic aspect just kills it for me and I'm not even sure why. like I knew it was a Sci fi so I should've been cool with it but at a point I was like ehhhh I can't and I'm not even sure where I hit that point honestly

To be frank, I didn't give Scientia magic because that would honestly make her invincible. Though there is an in-universe reason for Scientia's distaste for magic.

I can respect that and from an authors side of things could see how it'd be hard to balance inspired inventor and magic while making an enjoyable novel not easy to do without burning out.
