They are simply not up to par to have Lee Tao even give them an ounce of respect and it will take some time to impress Lee Tao or even gain his recognition to be called as a "friend".

Even though he was reincarnated, Lee Tao retains all of his memories(including his soul force). As for how Lee Tao fight, his superior techniques are obvious, but it was also due to his experience that allowed him to come on top in each fight.
