I have only read until chapter 150 or so. I found the MC at the start pretty interesting until I started to realize he was coming across as a spoiled, ungrateful, whiny brat. Yes, he accomplished a lot, but all from a sense of inferiority and anger. I kept reading because I knew there was a change happening soon based on the book introduction. The transition left much to be desired, I was rather confused because it was too abrupt. and then it became a sadistic portion of the story that made no sense. Let me stay here for years for revenge but only kill one person really... nah. He's a millenia old but seems so dumb at times it frustrated me. I did really enjoy the cultivation parts as they were interesting, but.... The reason I will stop reading is the whole ending to herb test.... wtw? It was so unnecessary to write her in and then treat her like less than dirt...and it made him a complete piece of dung that's worthless . At this point, you can't save him.

it does get explained later on in this story exactly why he acts like this, and honestly I too found his character extremely hard to handle and almost dropped the book on a number of occasions because of it. but it definitely does improve, he starts to realize his own actions and reflects on it, and even realizes he's been holding himself back and forcing himself to act like a little baby over everything even if it's gets him killed because of his inferiority complex. spoiler alert- just recently in the most recent chapters that came out 500 something, he basically has a very enlightening moment and stops forcing himself to be such a baby and finally calms down and reflects on everything and actually changes for the better, smiling more, relaxing, and enjoying himself in the moment for rather than focusing on revenge for everything and never taking time to enjoy himself, which now changes. and he starts to look at things objectively rather then with his emotions, and he starts to take things at a good pace rather than rushing towards everything like there's no tomorrow.
Yo bro, can I ask you something? Will there be betrayal (like being cheated?) later? I ask because I want to get ready first before reading this novel from the first chapter to the latest. It's okay if it's something like that for character development, but at least I have to prepare myself because usually I'm so immersed in a main character and it feels like I'm going through everything myself as that character. P.S: I saw that from a comment saying how he was conned(which I'm not sure here because if I'm not mistaken mc and his fiancé/wife separated for millions of years, for whatever reason it is impossible for one or both of them, not to have a new couple in those millions of years), unless they are truly connected in this case their souls are intertwined (cultivator things) and can contact each other.
