Well, at this point I think the author has made his stance quite apparent. He will not allow the MC to kill monsters and instead just makes them faint. Just like PG rated Pokemon. These are monsters that are in the woods. These monsters KILL people. There was even a beast tide that killed off his whole village and kill his parents. How are you suppose to protect people/villages/cities from beast tides if all you are going to do is make the monsters faint? How are the people in the LN eating beast meat if all you do is make the monsters faint? I think I have made my point by now. I don't think I will be reading this any further. Have fun all.

its some monsters here and there it doesn't go into every monster he kills as it isn't that type of story. it usually skims over that, but he's definitely killed some monsters, most of the faints are really against other tamers.

Sorry, I didn't read that far. I only read to chapter 39 and the Author just kept making the monster faint that any other author would have the MC killing them and the readers are expecting them to be killed. I dropped the LN because it was PG Pokemon stile and not my cup of tea. Those points you are making sound like specific individual times that it happened. It does not sound like the norm of the LN. I mean if you take a mission to go to a field to wipe out a bunch of gophers that are eating the crops and and ruing their farms, you would normally KILL the gophers. Not make them faint and collect them. No where in the mission did they say it was a capture mission nor did it say that they wanted the gophers brought back, let alone brought back alive. That was not the first time. This happened several times prior to that mission. In my opinion it is a PG rated Pokemon and not something I want to read.

it's not Pg rated and you've read like the beginning of the story where even worldbuilding is not complete heck I'm at ch178 and he's killing monsters to feed his pets like tofu /

I understand you are saying that it isn't PG rated and that things are now different in the story. That is great to hear. Due to this I may end up reading this LN again. There is nothing wrong with my assesment of the LN up to that point in time. It wasn't like it was the very first time the author made monsters faint and I freaked out and mentally lost it like other reviewers do. At this point in the LN the author had done it a few times already, therefore setting a presidenc for future content to be the same PG rated stuff.
