Review Detail of ElionAVL in The Author's POV

The Author's Pov is quite obviously one of the author's first fictional works. Or at least it appears like that on the surface at the bare minimum. The author of the work tries his best at developing the characters to the utmost limit, even at the cost of making somewhat forced conversations happen. I personally am chapter 566 as of now, so not necessarily finished yet, but I know I'll probably forget a review if I don't do it now so I wanted to write this to get it out of my system. First, the main character, Ren Dover(Surely a meme joke because I refuse anyone would name their mc something that rhymes with bend over?) I'll be first to admit that I love the plot where someone is reborn as a nobody or whatnot in a world they know and cherish, I'm a sucker for that. What happens? As more and more of the fiction is explored, the less does Ren feel as an author and more as part of the show, this seems to have been on purpose by the author as he introduces new characters like the "other" Ren( a twist I completely hate to be honest, even if I do have to admit he's written decently well). The Main cast is quite good, not the best but not bad and as an amateur writer it's definitely quite well polished, the main cast is never "forgotten" and all of them receive some sort of character development, Amanda being the favorite to me and Kevin being a second closest. But there's also other characters such as Melissa who I personally believe was left undeveloped( she might receive some more attention in the future as I am still not completely done) I'd like to praise the author's ability to write such a long novel without as much as one arc of it feeling like drawn out on purpose to make more content. Most of the characters feel "alive" as in the sense that their actions do have consequences, but once again I'll have to admit that I absolutely hate the "higher being controls what you're doing, you're totally under his own mercy" cliche done in the novel. I feel like there's no point to the title of the novel unless the mc turns out to be the Akashic Records himself and yadda yadda, but who knows. So far this novel is a comfortable 4+ stars, and it might increase in the future. Giving the character design anything less than a 4 feels wrong because you don't see this much fleshing being done on webnovel(most content is garbage) I'll also admit I didn't particularly like the world background but if it works it works and the work done behind it also feels good enough for me to feel bad to give anything below 4. The Story development is a 3 because like I said I don't like these sort of twists, and it's purely my own belief, meaning that to someone else it could be an and I'll understand where they're coming from The grammar is good, not exactly the "Goat" but it's understandable because English probably isn't the author's first language and I can understand the struggle. It is definitely readable and the flow of the show is understandable, meaning anyone with a decent amount of English vocabulary can read it perfectly fine. Thanks for reading this!
