Every question you wrote down was answered throughout the story. I am writing in first person, it’s not normal, at least to me, for a person to go on a monologue about the entire events of the universe. Also, I wanted to use a show not tell approach. As in the reader gets information at the same time the mc does. But yeah, all that stuff you asked about was spread out in the chapters thus far.
There is a difference, monologuing and self-reflection are two different things. One establishes insight and depth to a character, while the other is done by a narrator, where the events have already taken place.
