Review Detail of Lapllace in The Bored Immortal

I really liked WN, the plot is great, the characters are well-described. However, I'm really bothered by the fact that the main character is so weak even after all these years. Also, it annoys me immensely that his surroundings hide so much from him, especially when it concerns his "true" form into which he transforms after death. The author tries to give an explanation as to why they hide it, but I'm not convinced by this explanation at all. They think to themselves (I don't want him to transform into his true form, so I won't tell him about it). I don't see any logic in this. Plus, the fact that the main character suspects nothing after the fight, like, you fought a god and he crushed you to the ground before you lost consciousness, how can you not wonder how the heck this god disappeared? In short, this really annoys me. If not for this, I'm sure this WN would be at the top of the list with the best plot, as it offers everything needed, intrigue and interest. But for the reasons mentioned above, I decided to stop reading.
