In my honesty, This novel should show more showings such as the environment, the situation, the reaction, and so on. So you can let the audience feel the atmosphere. As for the characters, they are all fine as of now and I hope there will have a good development. Another critic for the character in my opinion is I think you should express more of their emotion through either telling or showing a reaction when they see the zombies.
