Review Detail of TheArcher7 in Non-Player Character

MC is not OP. MC is ugly IRL. The game he plays is not something I would play. I'm thinking this book is tailored to a highly specific audience (that I'm not a part of). Good grammar and, surprisingly, no gamLit elements yet. (ch 14) First, MC is literally ugly and seems to have no redeeming qualities. You could say that he loves his favorite video game, but it's not enough to care about the lives of the NPCs in it. There's a huge dissociation in the story before and after the suicide attempt. After all the emotional turmoil leading up to the attempt, we are suddenly forced into a story where we're worrying about how the MC is gonna mess up next. He makes some very simple mistakes. He forgets that every time he dies and is resurrected, one of his (game) family members dies. Shock! But get this! Right after relearning this mechanic the hard way, he attempts a risky speedrun strategy while assuming the one from the previous update will be the same?! I'm on the edge of my chair in suspense! At first I had sympathy, but instead of becoming emotionally invested, I grew impatient with how he immediately started failing at the one thing he is good at. Lastly, the game is unrealistically unforgiving given it's supposed popularity. The justification is that it's a hard core game.
