Not worth reading The mc is actually useless. He progressed so fast in the first couple of days, reaching the peak of Qi refining in the first day then peak of Foundation Establishment in a few months but from my understanding they are all from the system. He spent 3 years without any progress. He's been trying to condense a golden core for 3 years since he was at the peak of Foundation Establishment but still couldn't break through, he eventually did but guess what it was from a pill he got from signing in... At least in other sign in novels the mc's could break through without the need for their system

Yeah true but usually the authors like to hype them as some cultivation guru even though 90% of what they do is take pills

This seems disingenuous. It isn't all from the system. He has to actually cultivate so when he isn't lucky with sign ins he goes back to his previously slow level of cultivation. This particular sign in system doesn't suddenly give him x amount of years of cultivation. It only gives him objects that assist in breakthroughs be it pills or artifacts designed to help with training. He also isn't completely relying on the system for breakthroughs. It isn't that he couldn't break through on his own just that it would take much longer and he'd rather be safe and use system generates pill/consumables to help him break through that barrier faster. He even states that he knows it is a waste to use such valuable things early on not knowing when/if he will get another one, but that it would be too late to regret not using it if he got killed because he was taking the long route to break through.
