Author his hella racist, projects it hard into this story. Acts like every non Chinese person is an uncultured idiot, and I really wouldn’t care normally, but it actually bleeds into the story development, the way the characters act, leads to a lot of weird or uncanny interactions and it’s shoved in your face almost every chapter. For some reason every person on earth is transported to a death game where the purpose is for the human race to beat trillions of zombies, but somehow everyone immediately divides themselves among country borders despite the fact that the system takes away all language based constraints, does not organize people based on where they lived on earth (at least I think, could be wrong, but this actually would cause more infighting among fellow countrymen logically if this was the case since you’d need to conquer your own people to expand your territory) there is no country based teams or bonuses for your own countrymen doing well, yet everyone gets hyper nationalistic and the author throws it in your face every chapter. Like I usually get really annoyed by SJW’s but this feels like it was written by the racist equivalent of an SJW. It’s actually crazy how hard they play into it. Need to give credit where credit is do, if you can look past all that the story isn’t that poorly written, I mean you’re getting what you can expect, OP protagonist, very fast development, scaling gets ridiculous very quickly, but it feels like there’s a semblance of a solid story considering how I look at these kinds of novels as the equivalent of junk food for WN readers. The translation quality is solid too, very few errors, you’re never lost in regards to what is going on, I just really wish they didn’t play so damn hard into the nationalism because I’ve read a lot of books that are pretty racist against non-Chinese people but this takes it to another level and in a way where it affects the story telling and characters actions to a degree that lowers the quality of the story and in a way I really can’t ignore

LIKEFew other things I wanted to vent about, the MC is really not the brightest, extremely narcissistic, but like, it’s not even done in a comical way, maybe feels like the author is just heavily disconnected from reality and imagining how he would behave if he was given some OP ability? I dunno. Somehow manages to act like a Scrooge while also throwing money around left and right, like very abusive of his subordinates and causes all sorts of shit to kinda break them down in order to make them loyal, when their loyalty can very clearly be bought out without any sort of conditioning. I also think it’s just funny how the MC will treat literal other races or humans from past seasons more humanely than he would an Asian person born in a different country. Like he could carry the whole world to salvation but he has this mindset of ‘screw them, I don’t care if they live or die because they probably look down on me secretly’ Basically this is like if a narcissist racist man child got the ability to become stronger than the trillions that came before him simply because he was lucky enough to get the most OP skill in history, and he has 0 sense of shame or self awareness about it. And again it’s more shameless in a cringy/annoying way than a funny way
