The novel itself is to Trash...

I saw the word China and I did a double take. My first thought was, ''This one has gone down the drain.''

Don't worry, any nationalism in this novel only brings them down, since the MC literally chooses the worst option nearly every time.

So, I have read because why not, anyways there are like 3 nationalistic instances so far at chapter 95. On chapter 95 the nationalism is just extreme lol. Slight spoiler (MC sets/blocks trading for foreigners and anyone who were rude to his Country).

There's a lot more than 3 instances of nationalism. Throughout the entire first 95 chapeters he's constantly crying about how superior the Chinese are too all others. Or how he can't show off, or won't get likes, because of racism against the Chinese. This is confirmed by the fact that people see his name and then start saying "F china how dare you get better than me!!!" after only 3 or 4 days have passed since the transmigration.

All I'm saying is if you want to survive the quagmire of CN novels, keep an open mind. 🤣 Good luck~

From the synopsis? There's literally only one China mention and it's just the zombie HQ in the location. Plus, the targeted audience was Chinese, otherwise there might be American propaganda in this. To survive CN novels, keep an open mind. I've read many questionable things, many ridiculous things... ridiculous to the point that I feel authors are just trying to humiliate my IQ, but I still preserve. Fellow readers, it really depends on your tolerance until you find a gem in all this. Trying going on recommendation sites for some good novels instead of frustrating yourself upon this, haha. Good luck, fellow readers~

Yep, MC definitely could've chosen better though.

Guess author brought personal feelings into this. The trade sanctions between U.S. and China are still kind of ongoing, from what I've heard. To be honest, China has a lot of patriotism and most modern novels do bias towards China, holy, the author and targeted audience is Chinese. 😭 Keep chanting the 'keep an open mind' sutra. I must admit, these weird and inferior works are what makes CN novel community so small. (It's not just the nationalism, it's the novel overall)

You have much ability to become a prophet if it's just one mention about an HQ in China. Not meaning it in any way bad, just realizing the CN novel quagmire has just gone deeper. [img=faceslap]

Sometimes I feel CN novel has great potential for imagination but it gets easily ruined by the authors mandate to spread propaganda. I also feel they have a limited or skewed view of the rest of the world and this affects their concepts of characters and relations between nations.

I suppose, but the Chinese media is to blame, not the authors. You could tell the countries, even if they label it 'Country A' 'Country B' and 'Country C', it's pretty obvious that it's based off a real world country. The novels are targeted towards the Chinese audience, so most wouldn't complain about the glorification of the country. Just unfortunate to the people living in other places, especially black people and Americans...

I like your "keep an open mind" mantra. I myself had to draw the line at some point, or chapter 95. If the authors personal feelings are this hateful and ignorant of the actual world, it's a bit hard for readers of a more open environment to enjoy. I have no qualms with any country on this planet, it's good to love your homeland but having negative thoughts of other countries/people is a strike against humanity

To have your works read by many is a power. Sending a message that furthers hate of another person or persons is ethically wrong. I only hope that such thoughts are a minority. My own county has people who are like this, I also hope they fall short of the general consensus

It's a good history, the prove is that you lost time to add comments. If you don't like ignore it.

I mean... these Chinese people probably have been living in CCP propaganda for their entire life, just like Americans and how they hear bad stuff about China as well. My opinion is that they're affected by it to a probably big extent, as well as the stereotypes and hatred from past generations.

We'd have to bring the world into this, haha. American government and media pushes the negative news regarding China and supresses the good ones to an extent. I believe China and other countries does the same thing. Some people are just living in the bubble and opinions their government created for them, old people are hard to reform especially, speaking from experience. China's problem is that they're much more heavily censored, and we have the past generation influencing the new generation. Good luck to all CN novel readers[img=recommend]
