Translation quality is good, but the story development is the worst. I tagged this as review as spoilers since I’m going to talk a little bit more in depth about the problems I has with the story. In the earlier chapters, the story seemed to be pretty good. B quality writing and story development, just what you’d like to see from a system novel. The godly choice system offered MC a starter choice, but only one of the choices was usable so in reality he didn’t have any choice at all. How often does he get to pick a choice from the choice system? Well, not very often. I read up to about chapter 150 and so far there were 3 choices. All of the choices seemed pretty obvious what the MC had to pick as the other options either didn’t do much for him or nothing at all. The story had been for the most part, following MCs first choice which was something that pretty much put him at the top of all mages on the planet and able to use all magic. After chapter 80 or so there’s a twist that completely ruined the story for me. It changed the story so that MC learns a bit more about what the system he has really is, and gives him a new goal. Turns out he isn’t the only one with a system and he’s not the only reincarnated person. Some chapters turn out to be multiple point of view, but these other characters are all really cringey. MC has to hunt these guys down and take away their “gold fingers” to upgrade his own system. Why? They were all originally part of his system and he was originally reincarnated from another mage that used to be OP. I guess this was before he reincarnated from a guy on Earth? Idk it’s confusing. These guys seem to be all over the place. It’s to the point where he’s walking down the street and running into these people. Would have been best if MC kept his original identity and had his own system offer him more choices that were a bit harder to make.

I’m 400+ chapters in. There are only 3 appearances of the godly choices, that premise was thrown away. Also, somewhere around 70 chapters in, the story style completely changes, then around 170 it changes back, then slowly over the next 100 chapters everything that happened between chap 70 and chap 170 gets “forgotten” and it never happened. Events that happened 4-5 years ago suddenly are referred to as having happened earlier this year and characters that appeared such as Princess Lilia have ceased to ever exist. This includes the 3rd (and possibly the 2nd as well) occurrence of the godly choices, as the rewards from the 3rd (and possibly the 2nd) are gone. Basically nothing that happened after he met his 3rd elder brother (which is all the cringey other reincarnator stuff and the weird sociopath behavior plus the “he was really formerly a god with a super system” stuff) until the point that the soul bead from the werewolves awakens ever happened. It’s incredibly piss poor writing. The MC also reverse ages. He goes from 13 to 18 over chapters 1-230 or so, then around 300 he spends 2 years in seclusion and comes out around 16.
Agreed with your assessment. Except the translation quality is NOT good. Sometimes random phrases pop up that clearly don’t belong: I suspect a combination of MTL and poor editing. Also, the MC is a sociopath: it’s low-key up to chapter 104, where I’ve dropped the story, but definitely he doesn’t care about anyone. Except maybe his sister who dropped out of the story soon after he left the starter village.
"he doesn't care about anyone" are you serious i dropped it after he repeatedly saved that female mage and conpany
