**Please read until the end of volume one until you decide whether to drop or not! If you can’t tolerate the drama, you will be missing out. Zombie and Cranberry’s relationship is SO MUCH better. I have privilege and I’ve bought all the chapters so far, I would know. Honestly, their dynamic relationship is my favorite part about the story!** It honestly makes me sad to see that people drop this novel after the 6th chapter. The villainess, or Cranberry, and Zombie are around SEVEN years old 6 chapters in. However, she DOES NOT act like a normal child does. Some people also missed the fact that she seems AFRAID of what her mother will do to her when she was beating Zombie. Why? It is revealed at the END of volume ONE. Trust me, you will NOT hate Cranberry. In fact, there is a character you will hate more! Writing quality: [5/5] It’s good so far. Some typos here and there, but nothing major. Would’ve put 4.5/5, but I can’t do a half star. Updating stability: [5/5] We’re given 2 chapters a day at 5AM and 5PM PST if nothing happens to the author. 2 a day is plenty already Story development: [5/5] IMO, the story is amazing. I love the direction the author is taking it and I’m hooked! Character design: [5/5] I love Zombie and Cranberry’s character and I love their development. The characters are lifelike, but their common sense is obviously different from ours because their world is different. World background: [3/5] We don’t really know a lot about the world because of Zombie’s rotten brain skill. This means that we can only learn from whatever information Cranberry gives us, if she ever does. In addition, we haven’t started the “otome game” setting yet. I’ll update this when we get there. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

**If you want an explanation on why she treated Zombie that way in chapter 6 and cannot bear to read until the end of volume one or you just want to find out why, use a fast pass and read ch 57 or ch 67. It would make no sense for a seven year old child to behave that way and people have glossed over the fact that she is a child.**

The problem for me, was not her, but the MC. No anger, no hatred, no maturity or perspective of a reincarnated person. Just another masochist.

Fair. I didn’t consider the people who hate MC’s lack of emotion and action. Ofc, some people might not like the MC for it. **Spoiler** The reason for his lack of emotion and action towards the beatings is because of him being an undead, the rotten brain skill that came with his race change to an undead, and his class/job “Eternal Servant”. Being an undead makes him lose any interest for the living, the rotten brain skill dulls his common sense and decreases his knowledge, and his class makes him loyal to his master (Cranberry). In addition, I think that Cranberry can use the system to restrict Zombie if she really wanted to. It’s shown that she can share her own skills with Zombie for a designated time frame, but she chooses to share her skills permanently. I don’t see why she can’t restrict them or even his actions if she wanted to. Zombie’s emotions flare up excessively whenever it concerns his master. He basically goes out of control when she’s threatened. He’s very cold and doesn’t care about anyone who is not one of Cranberry’s friends. Anyways, let’s say he does have the power to fight back against Cranberry. What can he really do? She would just restrict him with the system and in the off chance that she doesn’t, is he going to beat up a 7 year old kid as a highschool/college student reincarnated? Either way, Cranberry will end up restricting him and the story would probably go down the drain. The system is basically God in this world. It can kill people with a simple command (with restrictions) and it can alter the memories of everyone who doesn’t have monster blood and some exceptions. It also forced Zombie to stay within an area where he would be run over by a carriage. He won’t be able to do anything against that. Being a reincarnated person won’t help either. He hasn’t played the otome game that this world is in before, so he won’t have any knowledge to help him.

So what you’re saying is the MC is nothing but a simp for Cranberry? No thanks, especially if he is as weak, stupid, and helpess as you say he is. He basically has to simp for Cranberry and/or be her slave/pet based on the setup of the story, which completely ruins it for me. Why anyone would enjoy such a weak/pathetic MC is beyond me, but if you all enjoy it that’s cool. I guess it’s just not for me.

i don't know whether calling him a simp is a right term for his situation as he is controlled by the system emotionally and physically which makes it impossible for him to do anything against his "master" so while you may see it as him simping keep in mind that he's being controlled by the system which affects him emotionally and physically, so i would say he is man-turn-into-simp-by-circumstances so yeah he is a simp but ain't a natural one just an artificially made one lol
