This is a review up to the free chapters, as the author said to read them first before deciding whether to drop or continue. I really don't get what is the focus of the novel. The genre is cultivation mixed with elemental magic. Usually those novels revolve around a mix of fighting, power progression and relations. But i don't see any of that in this novel. All the fights up to chapter 102 are one-shots by the MC and described in no more than 3-4 paragraphs. The only fight that wasn't a one-shot was against a girl, only because he didnt know the advanced version of using elements. 5 days after that he could slap her and kill her like any other. So fighting is below average. Power progression, is even worse. Cultivation is split into planes. The first plane took about 40 chapters, and the author obviously wanted to skip it because mc skipped to the end of the energy plane from start. All he lacked was quantity, so no power progression in first 40 chapters. The second plane, is about understanding intents, but this was also done poorly. It can be summirized in a sentece of "MC took x days to comprehend basic/intermediate/advanced/master intent". Nothing else explained. As for relations, the best relation is with his wife, which is basically: mc saves wife, wife stays with mc to be protected for a few days, 10 days separation and then both are suddenly madly in love with each other. Couldnt be more forced. So story wise this novel is below average to me. Writing quality is readable after chapter 90, but author needs to edit all earlier chapters as they are a mess. Commas used instead of periods, senteces with wrong order of its parts etc. Still readable, meaning you dont have to decrtpt the meaning but needs editing.
