It is clear to see that the author is experienced has planned out this journey instead of writing whatever comes to mind. One thing I must point out that I found incredibly refreshing is that this author actually comprehends the value and benefits provided by life experience. The protagonist's thought processes and actions conform to his stated background as a highly intelligent, wily old man. I see it so often that these so-called "old monsters" when reincarnated, completely forget every single bit of logic, experience, and force of will that they must have gained through their struggles and immediately start acting the age of their body and make the most brainless and infuriating decisions that anyone with even a tenth of their experience could avoid effortlessly. To summarize, if you are looking for a reincarnation novel with a thoughtful, calculating, and actually intelligent character, this one is for you.
