Review Detail of TwistedLove in The Urban Dao Child.

An enjoyable tale about a spirit who’d gone through countless trials & as a result, the heavens blessed him as the Dao Child. Yang Dao is supposed to have control of all elements & sub elements(4got how many) and he also has 4 elementals as servants who are pretty cool. The story takes place on another planet, yet somehow crystal meth, noodles, cellphones & curry are in this world. There is internet access & smartphones but no Bluetooth. Weird but ok. Maybe that tech will come in later thanks to the MCs brilliance. Girls: don’t expect anything soon. MC is 16 & has a habit of running from girls who want to get close to him. He’s not completely dense but he said girls scare him. The situation with the teacher confused me. He participated but then acted like she tried to r*** him. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out. Action is short & simple, most situations are resolved within 1-2 chapters. There are also arrogant young masters but Yang Dao sets them straight early on in his quest for world domination. Though he does cultivate, it’s not a driving factor(ex: closed door seclusion & complicated levels). The novel as of ch 140 is 98% slice of life and 1.5% action/fantasy & .5% attempted romance. Grammar: it is a bit of a struggle read. Wrong words are a constant which takes away from reader exp. A personal pet peeve is the writer constantly refers to the MC as the boy so I find myself picturing a little boy. Overall, Imo it’s a good story to pass the time. It can get a little boring but I really like the characters. Each girl has her own personality, Yang Dao actually has male friends & I want more of Ryu pls 🥰. In conclusion, I would recommend this book.
