Very disappointed with this one as it started off strong but turned to garbage after he joins the sect. What really spoiled it for me is that I came to this webnovel with the expectations of finding a story about an innocent dude turning into an 'asura' but the author just ended up turning him into a hypocrite.

I can't confirm this - in my opinion the MC is getting more and more ruthless, but is well aware who are friends and family. The progression is quite fast, so every few chapters we experience another growth of character (and level) of the MC
