starts off slow with the character weak and very very naive/ignorant/immature, he gains strength pretty quickly, but it takes a while for his maturity to catch up, but keep reading, because he does get there. this is a harem novel, so you can expect him to have many wives, however after 1000 chapters he only has two lovers, as the author takes his time to develop the girls and their relationships. that said, if this is anything like his other novel, Duel Cultivation, the MC will have at least a dozen wives by the end of it.

yes there is character development, but it's very slow and doesn't change much, but only from +-700 that has heavy changes in the main character

also i was comparing him from the current chapter compared to him from chapters 700-800 which has huge differences in the character

depends on what you consider mature, having been bedridden for most of your life (plus not getting much education after age 7), he's pretty naive, so for the first time half of the novel doesn't think he's going to kill everyone or make decisions that match general common sense, since he doesn't have much of it, but if there's one thing I can say it's: support Yuan At the beginning that from cap 800 onwards you will only be happy and you will really like this novel.

Definitely agree with you there. I want some of whatever all these reviewers are smoking because this was the dullest read ever (I'm up to 400) I've picked it up and dropped it like 5 times because it just doesn't do anything worthwhile.
