Love love this book. Read it from beginning to end. I normally shy away from chinese translated books because of the difficult names and hard to understand puns but this book was very easy to follow. Also, there were not a lot of puns either and if there was, an explanation was given. Yay! Han Zhan and Song Li had one of the best love stories I’ve ever read and it transcends time. Han Zhan is one of the most fleshed out grey character I’ve read. I have completely fallen in love with him. We know his thoughts, his values and what he’s willing to do for his loved ones. And we get to watch him grow old ❤️ Storyline: This book has many arcs that has different Fl/ML than the two main leads Han Zhan and Song Ci. Don’t let this dissuade you. These side characters, when first introduced, are so lovable, you’re begging for their side stories and we get it❤️. And i was not disappointed! One of the best arc after the main storyline is the Jiang Bi arc. That arc had so many twists. It was so tragic and heartbreaking 💔. I cried. Give this book a try. I’ve re-read this book or specific arcs multiple times!
