Writing this review after finishing the first volume (100 chapters). Positives: - Dark and gritty, with a mature writing style - Unpredictable - things don't always go the MC's way, or the way you're expecting - Refreshing - in a very oversaturated "system" genre, the author manages something very different - There is a decent balance of significant plot events and slice of life sections - The world grows with the MC, there aren't any overwhelming knowledge dumps - I personally enjoy the insight in the authors comments, demonstrating their thoughts, opinions and growth as an author Negatives: - Can be confusing at times - As a weak MC, he spends a distressing amount of time injured - MC seems to lack any motivation outside of staying alive so far, spending most of his time following the whims of those stronger than him - hoping this will change at some point

LIKEOMG, thank you SO MUCH! This is the most detailed feedback I've been given to date. Yes, I wrote confusing things, trying to show a narrator who lacked focus, was easily distracted, and DIDN'T inherently recognize everything going on around him. Sorry for not managing, or bundling, it better. Honestly, I want different font types. :) Webnovel will get there some day, I'm sure. MC is weak, and his status grows SLOWLY, and sometimes decreases (but generally goes up). But at no point will you see the MC flying around above combat, decimating a dozen demigods with lightning. There are plenty of other novels that cover that power level, and I intend not to compete with them. MC starts motivating himself in volume 2, Servant of the Axe. (It's a bit off, yet; a month or so, when the Daurian arc hits its second clash.)
No worries, I don't normally write reviews, but I'm really enjoying what I've read so far, and think more people should see it. Wanted to do my part to help get a rating and make more people know about the novel. I fully understand elements of confusion coming from the MC's own confusion, for example, the system. I think my biggest complaint in that regard is the "industrialist" mission, which seemed a little rushed, with the more important plot points seeming to lack exposition. Absolutely agree that there's more than enough OP MCs out there already. Just patiently waiting for the day that Rhizz wins more than he loses.
