Review Detail of SarushiroEruma in Parallel Trials of a Somewhat Hero

Hey there once again! Author here. So.. this is part two of the creator's review series: the shameless critique😅 I said earlier that the story's weak point were transitions. I can safely say that has improved dramatically. The latter chapters do tend to jump to one place to another for the storyline's purpose, but they're clear and smooth. Readers know where the characters are, which timeline is it, and who's talking (or fighting). If you're the type who gets easily bothered by grammar, this book is for you. I am very particular with wording and sentence construction. I do miss some punctuations from time to time, but that I guess is the very least of our problems. Despite the novel's slow introduction, the story develops really fast midway. I mean, really action packed. This is a type novel originally intended for young adult boys, which the japanese call "shōnen", a genre full of action and teenage drama (and slipping in a few fanservice if you know what I mean😅). So, if you're a fan of one liners like "I'm going to be hokage someday, believe it!" (I prefer subs though), then this is the book for you. Clichés in the introductory chapters are replaced by more complex relatable issues. Yes, it is a fantasy world, but the storytelling itself makes one think of the real world's current problems. Writing this novel actually made me cry, laugh, or furious sometimes due to the story's ability to evoke true emotions. Every story arc has their own unique way of tackling different issues. The characters design is where this novel shines the most. Every single one was described properly but did not take much writing space. They have their own personalities, abilities and mannerisms as if they were all living in full color. Depending on one's taste, each one is as lovable (or hateable) as the other. In terms of world building that I've been talking about since the beginning, the precise manner of how the background was developed created an opportunity to exploit a vast and unknown amount of space. As of writing this review, the story had only taken place within a small speck of the world I've built so far. To be honest, because of the world's immense background, saying that a tenth of the storyline is already finished is an overstatement. If you’re the type of reader who adores adventure, you're going to get a lot of it in here. As for updating stability, that really isn't a problem. I upload everyday and as many as I can.
