Review Detail of Xreth in Elite Mages' Academy

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FOUND A NOVEL HERE WITH ACTUAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THAT WAS NOT RUSHED. Characterization has been really consistent. An otaku was transferred into a place beyond Earth. Given a chance to become someone with power his initial reactions were of an actual otaku. But this did not magically turn the mc into someone who was very acceptful of everything like anything presented to him made sense at all. Very lacking of the NPC side characters, it's a very refreshing read where I don't have the need to skim through lines and lines of copy pasted and paraphrased dialogues. As for the world, it has its good points but lacks a whole picture. Maybe it was because it was meant to be discovered later on but besides "the academy is not on Earth and is very very very big with two moons," we got nothing. Still, the other world is slowly being painted and vividly so. However, the title of the story and the entire 60 chapters of the trial read happened in a single large location and while it does feel mysterious, there's no feeling to it nor was it described how the academy actually looked. Overall: It's a really good read. Extremely refreshing and the characters are someone you could actually root for. The problems presented are believable and actually builds tension. Definitely could be better but in this website, I couldn't ask for more.
