Because in this novel you get to feel and see everything they do, think,see,and feel. He gets pitted against people who clearly outclass him in more ways than one while he struggles with his inner domons while trying his best not to stray from his ideals on his journey as he learns joys of friendship and grief from the loss of friends. The story development is solid and fast-paced without inconsistencies and the world building gives you a clear picture of the environment he thought he wasn't in and sheds light on the world he finds himself in. I recommend it to those who love werewolf or supernatural themed novel.
