Hey everyone, just wanted to share my take on this novel through a simple review. I started diving into it around 3 or 4 years ago and stuck with it until it wrapped up in English about a year back. Despite my English not being the best, I really connected with the story, especially with the MC's role. He's portrayed as this seasoned character with a lot of respect and wisdom, and that really resonated with me. Unlike many protagonists who seem to be aimed at a teenage audience or focused on impressing the opposite sex, this MC comes off as wise, intelligent, and composed compared to his younger counterparts. In short, this novel isn't catering to teens or seeking to charm teenage girls. However, this novel might not appeal to everyone. It delves deep into its narrative and characters, making it hard to forget because each character has a distinct role and story. The character development is exceptional, and the writer excels in making the progression of characters engaging and understandable. While the power dynamics within the world might appear complex initially, they are ultimately straightforward to grasp. This power system sets the novel apart and allows for a clear understanding of each character's abilities and their relative strengths. Regarding the MC, he possesses his own unique system, which in other stories might be a weak point, but here it's well-executed, perhaps due to the MC's established presence from the outset. Overall, the system doesn't detract from the quality of the novel's writing. The plot is truly remarkable. The writer masterfully weaves together the events, with each one serving a purpose in either character development or advancing the storyline. But I can't fully convey the depth of the story and its plot by mere description. The MC's relationship with his students is exceptionally portrayed, with each student having their own distinct story, whether it's dramatic, political, comedic, or driven by schemes and rivalries. Lu Zhou and his students' interactions could almost warrant a separate novel altogether. Of course, no work is without its flaws, and the only drawback I noticed in this novel, from my perspective, is that over time, there's a sense of repetition, especially in some of the battle scenes after several hundred chapters. However, most of the battles still manage to evoke excitement, thanks to the commanding presence of the MC. My heartfelt thanks to the writer for crafting this literary masterpiece.
