The starting of the story was so awesome and instantly hooked me up, but as the story continued to develop, MC turned from a ruthless and cold person to a emotional with lowered Intelligence. The whole story was destroyed because of it. I read all the free chapters and am very disappointed with how the story development took place. I really thought that it was very unnecessary to do things that happened in the ending parts of the story. And although I'm ok with the story being realistic, author, you really destroy the characters of MCs.

Cant argue with hes 1st mistake but i explain it by mei mei beeing hurt so he's mind isnt as steady and him getting stronger more confident etc. he's still young not steady enaugh. the 2nd mistake is he's belief in the integrety of godlords since its kind of indoctrinated in to him in a way from young, again he's to young and not steady but i do agree absolutly that it was stupid af and arragant beyond he's charecter. Hard to explain it but well it is what is. Later on there are even stronger changes in he's charecter but imho fear of death and other things explain it well enaugh.
Kuro_ii:I doubt he's more tempered an calm, honestly. At the start, he was able to stay calm despite almost being assassinated and mocked after because he knew he couldn't do anything just yet. He was patient and level headed. But later on he unnecessarily revealed his lightning qi which could be kept hidden because a woman, who wasn't even worth it, insulted him. And all he did was ask for a kiss for it. It was a stupid move and he didn't even get anything out of it, other them getting his ego stroked. Then the bet he made with that woman and trusting so much just because she was beautiful and her companion was a strong figure, just to get nothing out of it due to his stupidly. Even if he won the bet and got them to go through with it, it would most likely cause a grudge with them and many people would target him due to him being the only person to ever refine the treasure. Maybe he changes for the better a couple hundred chapters in, but so far ( at a few chapters after the chapters got locked ), the only thing I've seen him becoming is more irrational and lustful.
If you came for an unnecessarily edgy mc, you would ofcourse not like it. Unlike the other stories where thousands of years old people behave like teenagers, mc here goes through something called character developement. At the start of the story he is in early twenties and now he is around 50 so ofcourse he will change (for the better I think). Although he is still ruthless and willing to do anything and kill any number of innocents to acheive his goals, he is more tempered and calmer than before.
Yes I know but the change can literally be noticed after the incident of Mei Mei (Whatever the name of the girl was) was taken away by the witch. He turned from a psychopath MC to a hotblooded, less thinking and non profit headed person. And that too without any reason. So Meh. I can't say anything about it.
