I as a critical reader often find lots of things done wrong but have to admit this novel is done extremely well! Just try it would be my advice, you probably like it.. The chapters are nice and long + the story is not so simple minded as 98% of other (cultivation) novels.

Edit: the book does get worse the more you read.... The first 300 chapters or so are top notch though. A little too dark for my taste though. And especially far to female unfriendly, and I'm male.
