This novel has an interesting take on the monster taming/cultivation through monsters genre, since the focus is running a pet shop and working towards improving his strength through that. While interesting, it has a few glaring flaws that make this novel average at best. The biggest flaw is the system. Systems in general are supposed to be a way to help the MC get stronger, in other words they are a tool and its up to the mc how to use them. In this novel, the roles are reversed, with the mc being nothing but the hands of the system. Nothing, would have changed if you put any random person in place of the mc. Anyone can send the pets to their deaths unlimited times as training, anyone collect quality pet food if dying in the cultivation planes is either free or cheap. The system offers no freedom of choice to the mc, to the point that the mc is limited even in his thoughts. The automatic conversion to energy points should have been a choice of the mc on when he needs energy points and when money. There are, also, various incosistencies,. For example, at some point mc wanted to hire employees, but the system said only pets are allowed to work for the shop. A good chapters later, this is forgotten, as he hires both an official and a temporary employee. The second glaring flaw is mc's personality. The further the story goes, the more arrogant the mc becomes, which is baseless considering the fact he himself was given everything he achieved by the system or by joanna. Even in the mysterious realm, which can be considered one of the few achievements on his own, he wouldnt have reached that far if the system hadnt stimulated the whole area and all the monsters before he entered. To conclude, if you can ignore the system problems and you are looking for something to read, then give it a try.
