While the book is good I have two complaints. Firstly, the author treats readers as idiots. The most blatant example is the ambush in jungle with spilling water signal. MC made detailed talk about signal going to be used, than in chapter with a bust he pasted the explanation again in the beginning of the chapter. That part shouldn't appear even once. Author, read about "Chekov's gun" and "show, don't tell". Secondly, I am feeling ambivalent about MC attitude to using magic. His addiction to magic from the previous life is natural. While he got bored of magic he already knew and studied I don't understand why he's so ambivalent regarding subjects he has never touched. Also, despite all that he still diligently trained his mana pool since the younger ngest years? You use his magic as deus ex machina. While it's nice way to introduce plot armor that makes MC somewhat inconsistent. In objective scale I would give this novel 4/5. In webnovel's inflated one it's probably like 6/5 with 3/5 being the absolute bottom.
