I once gave this story five stars but after the first hundred chapters the quality of the story dropped significantly and problems well known from other chines story's make an appearance. We get the usual Chinese propaganda bullshit and atrocious s.e.x.sim. And let's not forget the plot holes, because of course there would be some of those as well. Don't support this s.h.i t.

i did stop reading it but not becouse of that scene I am not a snowflake that cant read that stuff but the overall quality wasnt good enough anymore to keep me reading

Unruh_:If I understand what you mean correctly.. I think those weren't police officers. They were some people from a church, who were behaving like that because they thought that the noble did something which didn't really please them. This situation is very similar to the matter related to George Floyds death, however, this is only so to make it clear that the situation in this game world is rather similar to the one in our life. It's about people abusing their power. And of course that can be seen as disturbing, because it literally is made to be so. If your heart can't take this, then by all means, stop reading, as this novel is not suited for you.

and before you just say: "you're just a hater" be aware that I literally installed webnovel for this book. Stay clear if this book it doesn't hold up to the promise of the early chapters.

hmm. In my opinion, the quality of this novel never dropped. I read all free chapters (about 483 I believe) and everything was super interesting and fun to read. The community there is reasonable (or at least, you can understand their thoughts) and the characters all have interesting character traits. It's just nice to read the growth of Roland and his wits that he uses against the nobles. It's a great novel.

I think the novel did drop in quality after and around 150 or somethinh, which is sad, but it didnt drop to a level where its unenjoyable. The ***ism stinks and I wish the Author wouldnt include any of his opinions about modern Problems. But one thing that really disturbed me was that in the story one mage got aressted and four police mages appeared and pressed him to the ground. One Police officer knealed on the aressted mages throat and the aressted mage shouted „I cant breathe“. That reference is really fcked up.

I think the racism is a pretty normal issue considering this is like the medieval times. As weird as it sounds, without the racism, the story wouldn't be the same. And Roland and the other players seek to eliminate this racism.

Of course it is bad. But, put yourself in the shoes of the nobles. Do you think they contemplate about whether the stuff they do is good or bad? No. It is also not like the author is trying to be racist, by no means. It is just a characteristic of the nobles. In this way, they are put in a negative light, thus can be viewed as the antagonists. The antagonists make this story more interesting. Without them, the whole story would've been just conflicts among players, and that would've been plainly boring. Having the players fight with nobles who are on a high horse is more satisfying. Saying the racism is bad in the story isn't a good reason to say that this novel is bad. As I said, this novel (the game) is setnin around the medieval times, where many common human rights didn't exist. It is simply viewed as normal, that some people are treated better than other people, thus the racism is inavoidable.

I think you are confused between race and class standing. What you are mentioning is the difference between a mere peasent and a noble, not elf vs human, dragon vs elf, or angel vs human.

I can understand the natives being a bit racist, but bot the players. They either objectify a species or downright commit a genocide on them. it feels like there’s no in-between.
