Mc is sounds like a spoiled kid, Chinese novels are almost always bad especially when its set in America. There's so much useless stuff to pad out the chapters I stopped reading pretty early. Read if you want to waste a billion hours of your life.

I completely disagree. Have you even read the novel? I will admit that the first impression of the MC is similar to a brat, but afterwards the story is fantastic. I have read up til 1600 chapters and loved every moment of it. The story is basically a fanfiction that has elements of other stories that is melded into the plot perfectly. There are references, aside from the main fiction, of other ficitions like The Wanted, Taken, RIPD, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and many more. Hell I missed many references and ended looking up suspicious plot points. In addition, the MC, even with the Chinese background doesn't completely forsake his current American heritage. If anything this is one of the least nationalistic Chinese fics I have ever read that involves the real world. You should definately continue to read from were ever you ended. Once Luke became a police officer, you see less of the weird cringey/winey way that he spoke in the beginning, and more of a mature young adult who understands how the world works, and tries to manipulate it so that it works for him and his family. This story is certainly one of my new favorites.
