At the start of the story among alive we have following situation: two trusted friends, but they are at the bottom of the life like FL and her grandmother in coma, while others betrayed her or don't trust her at all or cowards. Her problem is very complicated and she desperately tried to find evidence. And with her live experience it's easy to trust no one, especially how could she can trust men that said he need obedient wife and there are zero feelings between them. This story indeed not ideal, but way better then most of the Chinese novels.
