Couple months ago, a bunch of new novel translations popped up with only 60 chapters each. This novel was one of those. I’m guessing that the publisher wanted to get some numbers to figure out which novels they want to prioritize getting translated. Not sure when they’ll pick the winners or if this one will be one of them.
