First let me tell you something. This novel is not bad but the author is full of sh*t. It is ok as far as the genre of op protagonists goes. You will see face smacking and you will see an overbearing protagonist. The reason why I gave this novel a bad rating is because of a certain paragraph in the 59th chapter. Idk why it ticked me of so much since I'm quite used to bullsh*t chinise nation*lism, but this one was so over my fking tolerance bar. The current antagonist in that chapter says something and then says how popular it is in western countries. He literally could have said that it is popular with some minority of sick people. But nooooo its popular in the horrid West. Fck off!!!

I should have given it less stars but it's not like the stuff that is up to the translator is badly done.

It's not necessarily up to the author either. Though it's completely possible that the author is a brainwashed racist, the author may have also included it to appease the government. China seems to be quite serious about this kind of stuff, they want to influence the younger generation.

Yeah... I know... honestly its surprising how blatantly racist those idiots can be and then they even have the gall to actually complain about racism in the west towards the Chinese. No racism is good, but it just irks me that they can place some **** statemets like that in all one paragraph. Well whatever lol... honestly idk what to say anymore. I remeber reading like 900 chapters of IMASS (I'm a super star) and actually laughing at the racist remarks towards the Japanese, Koreans and the West. It was just hilarious cause you could see how silly it was. (Ofc I dont remeber everything) But this sentence, even though it is dumb... it is also just gruesome and the author actually says that its popular in the west as if it was a family activity?

So 900 chapters worth of racism towards Korea, Japan, etc. is silly and hilarious but a paragraph said in relation to the West is horrible?

I’m not sure as to what exactly did you find silly and hilarious about 900 chapters worth of racism in IRAS but personally, I find it horrifying how a superpower like China cultivates victim mentality in their citizens.

I did say that that west is included right? Looks like you see only what you like to see. It is funny because the supremacy is what is funny... i find their thinking silly. There are no grusome dipictions there. As far as the cultivation of "supremacy" goes... it is quite smart from the chinise goverment to do something like that and it is quite horrifying indeed but it's not like that's the worst thing that the Chinese government has done.

Also... the victim mentality... you do know that the Japanese did some quite gruesome stuff during ww2 but noone really talks about it. Also... it is hilarious... since everyone is trying to wash your brain with for their own agenda on the internet that's how propaganda, news and so on work. This is a medium which is no different. Most authors write a book because they want people to understand and see some of their concerns or even make people believe what they say.

before saying about chinese nationalism (racism = hate against black/jews) you better to check reddit/twitter/US and EU newspapers.

It’s really nothing against the Chinese people themselves, however the ideology of the Government which has put in these measures to ensure their total loyalty and nationalistic pride. The nation has evolved a fear culture where everything is being monitored (see the novel by George Orwell, 1984) and infractions are punished harshly for general comments and party loyalty is mandatory. I had heard recently that China has installed 1000s of cameras for their new face monitoring technology. TL;DR - the Chinese citizens are what their Government have deliberately cultured to the extent it has becomed hereditary.

Cewu
CewuLv14Cewu

Yup, it is true i know. They are even developing AI that recognise peoples faces and read their emotions in huge crowds and great distances. Just so they can capture how they react to stuff and give them their score. It is terrible but i think this exactly shows how capable technology is in recent times. People need to understand that we should be conserned since most countries actually would, i think, preffer that kind of a monitoring system and they would pass it off as terrorist monitoring. There ofc exists a threat from criminals and terorists but people need to be aware when that monitoring is actually infringing their rights.

Sadly Cewu, there are no rights in China. Of course there are laws of the country that exist however it has been seen time and time again the law is interpreted as they see fit and of course, he/she who holds the power is the law. China is a country steeped in such wonderful culture, however they have historically suffered low self esteem which has led them to where they are today. Trying to be #1 😁

What? I live in the eu and read the news... your statment is so obscure that i dont know what to say or even for that matter... read. If you are maybe talking about how the news critisize china a lot? or maybe the nationalism in other countries? I won't bother with writing anything since you have just given some obscure statement and you expect me to jump on to reading media extensively. You should first state what's your problem. Also let me debunk something else for you... NO racism is not just hate against Jews and black people. Racism is hate towards any person, culture or group of people just because of their characteristics, origin and so on. You better check some US EU newspapers.

Indeed, truth to be told after reading the lastest chapter of "I found a planet" i got scared by the way they are thinking. China is a ok country , America is usually depicted as a conspirators in most novel, Africa a minority and European smelly westerner. I am european but i read Chinese and Korean novel, even sily Japanese novel about Blond Heroes but i read them, why? For the content. You have to know that freedom of speech is pressured there (china, scared to offend...) hence the way they express themselves need to willy enough to not be afraid of trouble(they have in various novel times after times depicted their systems flaws, a very honest depiction cover in a fiction). Novel became a way to express dream, ambition, fear and more, it's like delving in the mind of a modern Chinese man/woman and know how they see the world. You learn a lot and it may not please you sometimes but why do you still read? Well it's because you get to entertain yourself with new stuff you won't find near you and may never see and if you don't like it silently put it away and find something else more fun, encourage those whom you approve and ignore the rest. Personally I have never seen the rich young master of a rich family lack education so much that they act like dumped-to-the-ground-at-birth babies throwing a **** stirring tantrum which lead to stupid as **** plot.

Very wise indeed. Today culture is a weapon. A terrifying weapon. BUT why do you read novels? DON'T FORGET!!!!!

Again true. But my friend what are we the people? Right? No it's the shackles we bear. Who give the right? Who control the governments? The World has deft, and right is use to keep us in tow. A need collar to "defend interest. All evil stem from men, but order can curb it some extent. Naturally some people will barely be affected and ussing this but if freedom they will fight for more using the rules that shackles them. Novel from China are the very exemple if this reality as 50% of the imagination has been sever from the start BUT the quality is still good. Which makes me wonder how good it would be for a novel born from the lack of rules will be. I am awaiting.

to be precise, that is not racism but prejudice. racism is discrimination based on skin colour, a subcategory of prejudice

Hahahaha yeah... horrid rich masters... they do exist, but only in chinise novels xD. Well there surely are some arrogant people out there, though we still live in a society where you cant really say whatever you want without feeling the pressure from your surroundings. (Plus... whose parents would let them act like idiots without education?) I had read the "I found a planet", that's the toilet guy right? Lol, I dropped it some time ago, I think I read until he actually gave away some tech to his dad (and sold it away) and then **** hit the fan (at least in the MCs head). Is it any good/worth maybe taking a second look.

I wont argue about definitions of words in a non native language, but I always thought that prejudice would be some pre-conceived notions that you have about a certain group. It doesn't have to be bad or have bad intentions. While racism is when you know that some of those notions are not true but you keep discriminating against that group. Even if you dont know if your notions are true or false you blatantly insult or discriminate against that peoples group based on those same notions. So in conclusion. Racism = bad behaviour because of hate or preconceived notions Prejudice = having bad notions and thoughts about a certain group and just avoiding maybe interacting with them or something. (Not that that is a smart thing to do but still there is a difference... you should always thoroughly research and only then make a judgement... even then in the end, no person is the same)

These kinds of novel really leave me sad, but there is still hope. Sometimes I see novels without racism(There is still favoritism to China, but that's normal). One novel I saw recently the author even called Xia Jinping Winnie The Poh and managed to make a whole arc in Japan without being racist. This shows all hope isn't lost and there is still some cool people in China who aren't brainwashed.(The novel is "48 Hours A Day" and is currently being voted to be picked.)

Isn't racism supposed to be a race thing ? Can this word be used when it's about countries and such ? I mean I also insult other countries during international football competition but I don't have any problem with their "race" (seriously, f**k this word). Also, let's not talk about "brainwashing-propaganda ! " or "extreme nationalism ! ". Every country has a part of it's population who likes their country. China a bit more than others. Is that really a bad thing ? An example I like to use is about the recent Covid-19 "issue". - China set a quarantine order : a city is closed the next day with soldiers surrounding it, citizens obey the stay at home order and they start building a new hospital -> almost managed to stop the spread of the virus - My country set a #stayhome order : Citizens don't give a damn and do a last "bar party" before public spaces are closed... -> virus spread like wildfire.
