Wow, Im currently the translator for this Novel on the other site. Are you guys seriously trying to retranslate my work? honestly I have been translating this novel for over a year already and you guys just decide to run it over without even a message. That's really messed up.

it was clear, U just weren't paying attention and wanted to show off

Oto:And I don’t recall making a statement that I had read or checked the translation either. I simply made a general statement regarding the situation. As long as you guys are doing the translation with your translator, there of course isn’t a problem, as you guys have the license. That information wasn’t clear from what I saw in the previous posts.

Hello, I'm the person in charge of this novel. 1. We are not "retranslating" your work as you are not the author of this novel and clearly you do not have the licensing for this novel either. 2. Webnovel as a website was announced two years ago, by then, it should've already been clear that to translate novels from Qidian specifically, you would require licensing. As for run it over without even a message, I think the problem here is less of that but more of a simple We didn't know there was someone else translating it. When Webnovel allocates novels to translate, they don't assess whether other non-licensed groups are translating it. Honestly, as much as I do feel bad for you that you've been translating it for over a year, it pains me to say that as long as you don't have the license and rights to do so, you were bound to get shut down sooner or later. You're frankly just hurting the author by not even giving a share of your revenue to them.

i know it must be hard right now seeing your hard work going like that but i have a few suggestion for new novels if you can please take a look at them "Dawn of a New Era" and "Transcendent Dawn". they're both really good and they passed through Trial read without getting picked up, so i think it might be safe to try, sorry i just really wanted to read these after seeing them and i know others are the same.anyway hoping all the best for you

It seems that you are also confused on the law. While he does not have the license to commercialize his translation of the Chinese author’s work, neither do you have the right to plagiarize his translation. If you copy/paste his translation on this website and claim it as your own it is plagiarism, and the other site’s translator will likely hit you with a lawsuit. Now, as to whether he is “taking money away from the author”.... we all know how poor authors are paid by Webnovel. People aren’t dumb enough to actually believe this phrase.

All the translation done on Virus Girlfriend have been translated by our own dedicated translator. It’s made clear to me that you never double checked if the translation were a copy or not.

they shut you down and then they put the novel on hiatus. it's like getting blue bald when you read 300 chapters of a really good book to find out it hasn't been updated into years
