Is there a book where the MC wait one year to get revenge, not in the first part of a cultivation novel.and is there a novel where the MC chooses to be a guard, it was a brief time but I was talking about the choice, not the entire plot.

The point is not the revenge but that the revenge is accomplished in the first 60 chapters and that the MC was working for his enemies and took insult and punishment for a year to enact his revenge. And the guard is just a local guard for a normal town.
