Bullying is not the point here. A character can be a bad person, even as a MC. But doing bad things then trying to lead the readers to believe that you actually do right is bad. Imagine this, you join a company. Your boss teaches you everything he knew. Since you can do everything, he give you highest salary possible, but you're not satisfied so you quit to join another company. This is fine, but it's not fine if you go around discredit your old company for no reason. Trying to antagonize your old company to make you look good is an act of a trash.
