Jedrek story is a complete disaster. Firstly the story was about Jedrek/Lilac but the author forget to write about their love story instead she write more about Jedrek/ Serafina and suddenly Serafina died so that Jedrek and Lilac could be together. I mean what kind of rubbish story is this. The author should realise that we now live in modern world where no woman can share her husband with another woman and the way Lilac character has written is very wrong. Through out the book the only thing she is doing is forgave Jedrek wrongdoings and never taking any stand for herself. I regret reading this story.

Thanks for voicing exactly how I feel. The ending would make more sense if Serafina was selfish until the end and chose to return. She and Jedrek could stay together and that would help Lilac to break free from her toxic love for Jedrek. I wished that Jedrek found Lilac after the war happy with another man; With a man who would know how to love Lilac and not hurt her. I am very disappointed that Jedrek and Lilac ended up together. I can forgive Jedrek many things, but it's unforgivable how he hurt Lilac AFTER they mated. As her mate, Jedrek was supposed to feel her pain, heartbreak, betrayal... but he didn't. Very disappointing.
