I suspect that the author has an Ugly bastard fetish, well, it's already unhealthy how he described Fritz's relationship with Maria, I'm trying my best not to vomit from the realization that this decrepit old man has been doing with her since she was 15, but no, the author so kindly gives me another emotional trauma. How the hell did he come to the conclusion that the main character should fix their relationship? Because of her feelings? it's the spitting image of Stockholm syndrome.
