Webnovel gave up having standards when they introduced novel selection. it has only been functional for 1 out of the 4 yrs they've implemented it and have made so many changes that I don't know which novel is already released and which is being voted for. there is a novel released right now that I can spend energy points to vote for release... All the novels selected are based off "Editor choice" which is them just picking a bunch of popular tropes from China and not taking into account it has an international reader base. The novels picked and updated frequently are usually (in majority) never above 3.9. Right before the recent changes say 6 months ago WN did a massive cancellation of a large number of popular ongoing novels but kept novels that rated even 2 stars going till completion...
