Review Detail of JiJi in Behind your Mask is a Beautiful Smile

SWING AND A MISS. Alright. I really wanted to give this a five star rating but something within the story prevent me from doing so. Everything leading up to what made me disappointed was good. I was thoroughly enjoying the development of the plot and the characters. Then just before I hit the half way point of the story a conflict happened which made me seethe and fester In irritation and frustration. Up until this point I actually liked the ML and the FL and thought them adorable and perfect together. Well it turns out that their years and years of being together were not enough of a solid foundation for their relationship because it was so easily torn down by a jealous female villain and a genuinely stupid ML They got back together after a very very very brief time apart-I’m talking not even a whole month-but there was no recovering from that plot line. The ML doubted the FL and even took the side of the female villain. AFTER YEARS OF BEING TOGETHER, he still chose not to trust her even after the FL specifically told him how the female villain was out to get her. Now the female lead was just as stupid as the ML. After not even a night’s grovel (our apology might I add) she takes him back and even begs for him to stop avoiding her. I thought she was this strong, fierce FL but it turns out she’s just another desperate and needy FL. Personally once trust is broken, it’s gone forever and it’s not something you can get back. The FL said something along those lines after it all went down and yet she still goes against everything she said and takes back the trash ML at the drop of a hat. Gross 😒 weak was not what I signed up for. That plot line alone ruined the rest of this story for me because anything that the ML did just didn’t seem genuine anymore. It seemed cheap and pathetic. But the FL just ate it all up because like I mentioned she’s desperate and needy for the ML. I much preferred the second lead couple. They were more transparent and reliable than the main couple. Good try and I would have honestly enjoyed it had it not been for that one thing. And it’s not something you can just un-read. Oh well nice try I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
