Review Detail of Crow008 in Mr. Tycoon's Daring Wife

This is the first ever original novel I have ever read Webnovel. I was not disappointed. *May have typos* SHORT VERSION BELOW(SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN): Zhao Lifei is a white lotus/green tea in the life of the Xia Mengxi, a commoner who managed to melt the icy heart of Zheng Tianyi, the heir of a prestigious family worth billions. Due to bullying Xia Mengxi, Zhao Lifei is kicked from her position of Zheng Tianyi's fiance, loses her position as the "Queen of the Socialites", and is basically disowned by her parents. Xia Mengxi rises to the position of Zheng Tianyi's fiancee and lives happily ever after with him. That's how the story would have gone if this was like any other novel. However, our protagonist is not Xia Mengxi, but Zhao Lifei. Character Design/Development: Zhao Lifei (ZL): Smart, hardworking, stubborn, strong, has hidden skills and also has an aura which undeniably shows her elegance and grace like almost every other bada** female lead. Its a cliche type however what makes it different from most of them is that she originally wasn't like that. What she went through forced her to change. Through her actions, (and constant reminders from the author through other character's thought and dialogue, lol), we see how the hurt ZL was before due to the actions of Zheng Tianyi(former fiancee). Yang Feng (YF): Our beloved male lead. Cold, ruthless, powerful, wife- spoiler. A man who respects (most of the time) ZL's wishes. Loves ZL due to ACTUAL, believable reasons (but, who can I judge for all the male leads who fell in love cuz plot...you can always argue love that unpredictable and you love who you love no matter the reason). He works very hard on breaking down the walls around ZL. Story: Not a cliche story. The supposed antagonist becomes the protagonist in this story and we join her on her journey to overcome her past and be happy. The romance is cute and fluffy. Sometimes the transitions between scenes are a bit ehhh.... but overall, the story is really attention captivating. Favorite part of the story is definitely when the ZL doesn't (really) need YF to save her(but he still does)and solves her issues(mostly) on her own. I absolutely love that even without YF, ZL would still excel and is an independent woman. Her skills are crazy good, yet, it is countered by her flaws and weaknesses which makes her human and not just an OP goddess. Enjoyment: 9.8/10 ZL is SO cool and OP at times. Her best friend Yang Ruqin is absolutely one of the best side characters ever. Dirty-minded, her jokes come at almost some of the most unexpected times and her character lightens up the mood in the novel. Romance is C U T E. Fast-paced yet slow enough to be reasonable. ZL's actions against YF are extremely funny. SHORT VERSION: Zhao Lifei(ZL), is a bada** woman with wealth, connections(unexplored yet), smarts, and crazy hidden talents. Yang Feng(YF), with wealth, status, smarts and etc. tries to melt her heart. This is NOT a clique novel. This novel portrays ZL as an independent woman and her actions definitely prove that. Though she is OP, she has her flaws (mentioned many times, lol). Definitely a twist in the classic troupe. Very refreshing. READ THIS NOVEL!!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. (There is a reason why it is currently TOP 1 in originals) **This review does not do this novel justice. READ THIS BOOK** Afterthought: There is a bit of mystery in this novel about ZL. Totally obsessed with this novel. Never thought I'll find a gem like this. ZL is such a strong MC.
