This story is trash. 400 chapters in and he's still doing the same damn thing. What's the plot? Where are you going with this? Who is the villain? Are you dumb? I hate myself, I hate my life and I'm trying to get lost in reading.

you wouldn't understand right now but the worldview of this novel is extremely big. earth is just a tiny speck in the middle of nowhere. he's just screwing around on earth because he doesn't have the resources to actually cultivate. he doesn't actually start cultivating until chapter 800 when he leaves earth. but the entire galaxy group is actually on the frontier of the universe isolated from civilization. you can image it as a rural village in africa, isolated from the cities and civilization. therefore, chen fan's real cultivation journey doesn't start until chapter 1200 where he leaves the galaxy group and steps into the "actual" universe. his goal is the center of the universe called the central galaxy which is billions of light years away, so the author will probably spend at least 2 thousands chapters on him travelling through the universe to reach there. and after he reaches the central galaxy is where the main storyline starts and this is where you will meet the villain and will probably takes around at least 5 thousand chapter for him to reach pinnacle of cutivation, then he will ascend to the immortal realm and will probably be 2 thousand chapters of him taking over the immortal realm. the beginning of the novel is slow but the author is carefully laying a foundation for future events. unlike other novels where the author just picks up a pen and starts writing and making stuff up and when he's finally out of ideas makes the mc ascend to a new world with a new few hundreds of cultivations levels and then keep making stuff up and repeat. this novel has a clear layout and structure. and the cultivation systems are very clearly explained and defined, there are only eight levels. this is why this novel is good.
