I love this story, I just hope Jake can stop replying on Noah so much soon, he's always so worried about what he thinks and he's saying how he only does baseball because of Noah and he wouldn't do it without him. I'm only at chapter 276 so that could happen later. But I want Jake to be independent and play because he loves the game not because he doesn't want to let down Noah and the rest of the family because they bought him equipment

[Warning: A bit of a spoiler if you haven't read till chap 800 or so] That's the same exact thought I had when reading through the novel, but if you've read till the Stanford camp, then you'll see that Jake starts to do both (relying less on Noah and starting to play partially due to his own want). I think the surprise Rhys gave Jake during camp was the biggest motivator to push Jake to want to play baseball because of himself and want to improve, though, on one of the phone calls from his brother there was a good clarification on how Jake had started playing because of his own interest (if you remember it). Zeke also gave Jake the push to start relying less on Noah during the Stanford camp. This kinda made the Stanford camp one of my favorite parts :))

Oops correction, I was re-reading and noticed that the Stanford camp is only around the mid 600s, so you can see some definite growth by then
