"In some universes, a harem is anappropriate" I guess you dont know much about the wizard world in harry potter wich is pretty much stuck in the medieval ages where pureblood/noble society is on top. Heck, nowadays in the mordern world even in arab countries, the rich men have their own harem, so why wouldnt this work on a magical 90's UK alternate version?
