The first and second chapter gave me hope... and that’s it. There is nothing special about this story. It’s just potential being destroyed. The character with great intelligence can not adapt, the whole story is just boring. Still, respect for trying.

Did the first ten and then skip to the last 2 hoping for the best. Maybe next story will be to my taste;).

I can see how ******** military people have problems adapting to civilian life. I mean the way you are wired to think is completely different in the military and it takes time to get used to living like us normies. I remember my uncle telling me after he got out of the air force he had problems in his college English classes because they way they write reports were different. he was used to just stating facts as ****** as possible which isn't how normal people speak/write.
It's more of the taste and experience of the reader sometimes we don't need to read up to 20 chapters to know I won't like this book
